Reinventing the Shopping Cart

The e-commerce shopping cart has not changed much since the dawn of the internet. Merchant systems to this day still require either the shopping cart to be directly integrated into a website or rely on a pop-up window when adding items to a cart across domains. This just won't do!

Our first mission when building MeDeploy was to find a better way of handling shopping cart functions across domains without the pop-ups used in the past. MeDeploy succeeded and developed an innovative shopping cart system that transparently appears when items are added to the cart and communicates with back end systems in real time with no cumbersome pop-ups of the past or any site integration needed. It just appears when called and disappears just as easily!

PLUS the shopping cart has an automatic "follow me" functionality to increase the likelyhood of sales never being lost. A consumer can add movies at one location, and if they leave without checking out, the item remains in the cart when they visit any of the distributor's other distribution locations. ...even distribution locations of other distributors using MeDeploy! Checkout will group the items together from multiple distributors seamlessly for the consumer. Each distributor only receives their own sales data after a group purchase.
